Reduced Price Shares: All Shareholders paying with SNAP (food stamps) are eligible for a reduced rate on Winter Share produce boxes. We also offer a limited number of reduced-price Shares for Shareholders whose income is within 150 percent of federal poverty guidelines. To apply for a reduced-price Share, please see here or call our office.

Please note that due to the limited amount of local produce available over the winter, we are not able to offer “holds” or credits for Winter Shares. Visit our Membership Terms  and Frequently Asked Questions pages for more information.

  A La Carte Add-on Items:

This season, for the first time ever, we are offering add-on items that may be purchased after enrolling for a produce box. You may order these items a la carte month-by-month. These items include:

Eggs ($3.50) – 1 dozen medium brown antibiotic-free, hormone-free eggs, laid by the pastured chickens raised by our friends at Hidden Camp Farm and Sparks Emerald Acres

Cheese ($5) — 8 ounces of Extra Sharp, Smoked, OR Tomato Basil cheese made with milk from local farms, cold-aged and hand-cut by our friends at Palatine Valley Dairy

Maple syrup  – 16 ounces ($10) or 32 ounces ($17) of Grade A or Grade B syrup, made with sap tapped and  sugared into syrup by our friends at Ringwood Farms

Honey – 8 ounces raw honeycomb ($10), or 16 ounces strained liquid honey ($7), made by the bees and then gathered by our friends at Rulison Honey Farms

Add-Ons will be available in our Web Store starting November 14, 2012 — the day after our Summer Share ends. Check back here for the link, or log into your Winter Share account starting November 14 and click on “Web Store” in the upper right-hand corner.

Lamb:

In January, both Shareholders and non-Shareholders alike can purchase whole and half lambs, raised at Crem Ledge Farm and butchered by the animal husbandry program at SUNY-Cobleskill. You may select how you would like your meat cut (ground lamb, lamb chop, etc.) as well as what parts you would like to receive (organs, head, etc.). A limited number are available and will be sold first-come, first-served.

Lamb will be available in our Web Store in coming weeks. Check back here for the link, or log into your Winter Share account and click on “Web Store” in the upper right-hand corner. We’ll notify all Shareholders as soon as it goes on sale!
